Research & Development

One thing that defines Statoil Lubricants as a company is our desire to be where things happen. For this reason, our research and development operations are located right next door to the production plant in Nynäshamn.

Just a stone’s throw from our laboratories, there are cisterns being filled with base oil, while the products are being mixed less than a hundred meters from where we are designing lubricant formulas for the future. This close collaboration between research and production means we can continuously improve and develop our products and solutions and test them against the stress and strain of real life.

In order to keep the lead, we are cooperating with universities, and we have a regular exchange of knowledge with international specialists in the field of lubricants.
